Elisha Weger’s
Breast Cancer Empowerment Legacy
|
Elisha Weger, gifted photographer and devoted mother to three wonderful boys, was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022 at just 39 years old. Amidst the challenges of her diagnosis and treatment, Elisha found inspiration and purpose, transforming her personal journey into a source of strength for others.
With her signature compassion and creativity, Elisha launched the Breast Cancer Empowerment Project during her treatment. Her vision was to create a photography experience where breast cancer survivors could feel pampered, celebrated, and connected—capturing their beauty, strength, and resilience through her lens. Elisha passed away on December 2, 2022, just seven weeks after the project’s photo shoot. To honour her vision, Inpower Breast Cancer Support Group established the Elisha Weger Breast Cancer Empowerment Legacy Initiative in October 2023. In collaboration with Elisha’s family, friends, and a dedicated team of local professionals, Inpower completed her project and unveiled the results at annual The High Tea of Hope. Her powerful photography was showcased alongside her now-iconic floral wall, which continues to serve as a beautiful backdrop for survivor portraits—radiating the joy and spirit she so passionately championed. |
Elisha’s legacy lives on—in every image, every smile, and every woman uplifted by her work.

In June 2025, Elisha’s legacy grew further, as her striking portraits are now permanently displayed at Regina's Breast Health Centre, offering encouragement, hope, and empowerment to women as they begin their own breast cancer journeys.
